Lane Meyer Projects is pleased to announce Heather Plambeck’s solo exhibition, Lost & (Rarely) Found. With the occult almost always in mind, Plambeck searches for knowledge of the hidden in her photo series on view. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Plambeck prefers to conduct her shoots outdoors. Nature is often seen as the embodiment of all the characteristics that women possess. This photo series explores the identification of women with the earth and the beauty that encompasses them both. With a deep appreciation for set design, Plambeck incorporates masks, costumes and other props to achieve a vintage, dark and otherworldly mood in her photographs. The photos in this series are shot on both 35mm film and digitally.
Heather Plambeck graduated in 2016 from the University of Colorado Denver with degrees in Studio Art and Communications. Plambeck currently lives and works in Denver, Colorado.
